We invite you to become acquainted with the descriptions of the workshops and to make a decision which workshop is the most interesting for you. 

You have to choose one workshop!

Each workshop will consist of three parts – the first one will last from 16:30 till 18:30 on 22nd of June (Day 1), and the last two parts will take place next day from 10:00 till 13:00. During the workshops participants will have opportunity to exchange different experiences and to discuss on challenges and good practices. The conclusions of the workshop will be collected into the final document with the outcomes of the Forum which will be presented during the 5th Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels in November 2017.

Remember that the number of participants of each workshop is limited –  the faster you are, the more choices you have!

Thematic workshops: A. Young people as active, critical and responsiblecitizens

Workshop A.1: Participation and Policy Dialogue My choice ››
Facilitators: Anna Yegoyan, Natalja Gudakovska

During the workshop we will explore the diverse realities and good practices in the field of youth participation and policy dialogue in Eastern Partnership region and European Union countries. Together with colleagues we will identify similarities and differences and map opportunities and challenges of both regions through the holistic approach to youth participation. Finally, we will have space to develop common concrete actions and work on policy recommendations aimed at increased participation and improved policy dialogue through engagement of young people as active and responsible citizens. Workshop A.2: Volunteering and Community Participation My choice ››
Facilitators: Anna Szlęk, Anna Krzeszowska-Hovanecz

What is volunteering today? How is it understood and how it works in different countries? How can volunteering contribute to young people's involvement in their communities? How can it make them active and responsible citizens? During this workshop we will look together for answers. Active working methods, concrete examples from our organizations and institutions, involvement and energy of the group will help us in this process. Together we will talk, share and dream. Thematic workshops: B. Young people and entrepreneurship –  taking the future into own hands

Workshop B.1: Social Entrepreneurship My choice ››
Facilitators: Žilvinas Mažeikis and Gergely Kiss

We will review concept and practices of social entrepreneurship in EU and EaP countries and identify good practices of how to encourage young people take a future in their own hands. We will explore the diverse understanding of social entrepreneurship within the European Union and Eastern Partnership countries and analyse various practices across the region. Together we will identify challenges related with Social Entrepreneurship and will try to map the needs, methods and policies regarding social entrepreneurship of young people. My choice ››

Workshop B.2: Entrepreneurship Competences Development My choice ››
Facilitators: Joanna Stompel and Juan Ratto-Nielsen

We will explore the diverse understanding of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial learning within the EU and EaP countries and analyse it within the recently published Entrepreneurship Competence Framework. You will address the topic from different levels (individual and organisational) to find out and map the needs, methods and policies regarding youth work aimed to support entrepreneurship competence development of young people. Thematic workshops: C. Young people and education today: formal, non-formal and informal

Workshop C.1: Transversal Competences My choice ››
Facilitators: Vitalii Volodchenko, Ieva Grundsteine

Transversal competences, like making decisions, taking responsibility, critical and innovative thinking, working in a team, communication across cultures, etc., are competences relevant for broad range of occupations and sectors. In different contexts, they also could be called generic, soft skills, 21st century competences, life-skills etc. My choice ››

Workshop C.2: Connected Recognition My choice ›

During the workshop we will explore how globalised, interconnected world of today impacts the youth work realities and existing major trends in recognition, education and employment fields. We will together review existing innovative practices in the field of recognition and validation of competences acquired across diverse sectors. We wish to make this work shop practical and hands-on experience: we will together identify action points and set up specific steps towards connected recognition strategies that can be developed by organisations and governments in both EaP and EU countries.
